Our
History
Gees Bees is located in Orange, VA, on part of the land originally owned by F.E. Hicks Sr., the grandfather of Mark Geslock.
F.E. Hicks Sr. acquired the land in 1944 and actively farmed it, raising cattle. In the late 1980s, Barbara Geslock (Mark's mother) and Mark started G's Trees, a Christmas tree farm.
Gees Bees grew out of that venture.
Our Philosophy
At Gees Bees, everything begins with respect for the hive and the land around it. Our bees forage the diverse fields of Virginia, producing raw honey that reflects the place we call home near Fredericksburg. We believe great honey comes from thoughtful beekeeping, patience, and balance—harvesting in small batches always guided by nature rather than shortcuts.
