Bee Fishing 2021 - AKA Swarm Catching

Free bees.....Free bees..... Free Bees......

Here is my swarm trap. In the spring, bees being bees, will naturally swarm. The believe that their current home is too small and look to move out.

In the box I have old brood comb. There is a spray "swarm Commander" or you can use lemongrass oil to attract the bees.

I will leave them alone for a few days to make sure that they want to stay. As soon as the forager bees start bringing in pollen, I will move them.

When they bring in pollen, It is a sign that the queen is laying laying. Pollen is used to feed the larva.
