Getting Nuc boxes ready for Spring

I am going to split some of the hives that I have. Some of them are in medium frames (6 5⁄8 inches) that i want to use in deep (9 9⁄16 inches) boxes.

Bee do not like a lot of bee space. The optimal "bee space' is 1/4- to 3/8-inches wide (6-10 mm). I built a spacer so I could use the medium frames in a deep box.
