I HAD a hornet problem

I had put up a swarm trap in case some of my honey bees decided to swarm. I figured since they were new bees, that I would not see any activity until the spring time.

Hornets had decided that was the perfect spot for them to make a nest. If you did not know, hornets are meat eaters. They have a feast on bees. When the field bees come back, they hover over the entrance way before landing. This makes them a easy target for hungry hornets.

I sprayed 4 cans of hornet killer and hit the trap with a shovel. That didn't phase them. I had to implement plan "B"
